Skall Studio was founded in 2014 by sisters Julie and Marie Skall, long before responsibility became a buzzword in the fashion industry. They create collections without fur and leather, using only 100% natural materials. With a focus on integrity throughout all stages of production, Skall Studio is known as a value-driven brand,

The story of the Skall family began in Northern Jutland around the 1900s when Julie and Marie’s great-great-grandfather and his brothers made a living by collecting seashells on the beach and selling them as chicken feed.

That’s how the family got the name Skall (‘shell’ in danish). Many years later, the Skall sisters ran along the same beaches, collecting seashells in their little buckets.

The shells remain a source of inspiration. They remind the sisters of the Northern Jutland nature they grew up in, which means the world to them. The shells also remind them of their ancestors’ simple way of life:
